As I embarked on this project, I encountered an outdated home set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Continental Divide in Estes Park. Despite its surroundings, the home failed to harmonize with its natural beauty, yet its potential was undeniable. My first priority was to address the awkward kitchen layout, which did not capitalize on the panoramic views and felt cumbersome and outdated. I redesigned the space, adding a walk-in pantry and mudroom, and created a spacious island with seating to optimize the views. The focal wall now boasts a striking 16' copper hood and a beautiful gas range, drawing you into the kitchen. To enhance the experience, I incorporated a cozy seating area in front of the panoramic views, perfect for relaxing with a book and taking in the landscape. The timeless charm of the kitchen was carefully preserved.

The next significant aspect of the remodel was the master bathroom, which suffered from a disjointed layout. I reimagined the space, relocating the entrance to the master closet from the bedroom to the bathroom and installing a stackable laundry unit and custom closet design. The bathroom was transformed with the removal of dividing walls, creating a spacious two-sink vanity area and a centered shower with frameless glass and complementing tile. The result was a harmonious and open space that flowed seamlessly.

Another key focus was to establish a defining entry, lacking in the original home. Additionally, I redesigned the fireplace wall from outdated and unattractive to symmetrical and inviting. The downstairs area underwent a complete transformation, including a new fireplace facade and two fully remodeled bathrooms.

This project evolved from outdated to a beautifully traditional and timeless remodel, perfectly complementing the stunning mountain views.
